WALKING AND DRAWING

For this immersive drawing tour of Lewisham Lucy McGeown will lead a two part workshop exploring the local area, its history, signs and symbols and how we can play with this wealth of visual language.

The morning session will involve a walking tour of the local area in which participants will be given a handmade sketchbook in which to record the shapes and forms they discover in the everyday objects, architecture and systems that surround us.

PATTERN PUZZLE

The afternoon session will be run as a follow up to the mornings explorations and will use the sketches as a starting point for creating a series of patterns that will be painted or drawn on to a pre cut shape that at the end of the session will be pieced together like a puzzle to form a larger artwork.

This workshop is family friendly and open to artists of all levels, all materials will be provided.
