EVERYWHERE SIGNS: PRIVATE VIEW

      London Drawing Group is proud to present Lucy Mcgeown; Everywhere Signs.

      For this series of fluid, explorative drawings, Lucy McGeown uses mark making as means to debate the ways in which imagery can be blurred into a style of unification, obliterating the real form and concentrating on the simplest representation of it through a style of mark making that brings all the sights of a city into a gestural scene.  The drawings are often a collection of flat layers of 'could be' shapes and forms that elude any precise scale but instead use ambiguity as a means to play with and highlight the subjective position of the viewer.
