A day long session led by Royal Drawing School alumni Luisa-Maria MacCormack and Michael Chance, allowing participants to explore the ways in which a two dimensional drawing becomes a three dimensional sculpture.
Using a life model in the morning session, participants will be taught how to break down the body into its forms and planes, guided by a variety of exercises and techniques.
In the afternoon students will be introduced to the basic principles of sculpting the human form, taught how to manipulate clay, and come away with a clearer understanding of representing the human body, both on paper and in clay.
This class will be suitable for all levels, beginners to professional artists, materials including paper, easels, drawing boards, charcoal and sculpting materials will be provided.
